Every month, the Clerk’s Office publishes a ready list

The ready list is a list of all non-summary calendar cases that are ready to be submitted to a panel of judges for decision. Cases appear on the ready list on the date the answer brief is filed because reply briefs are not filed in all cases. However, cases are generally not submitted until the reply briefs are filed or the time for filing them has expired.

The clerk uses the ready list to submit cases to the judges each month. Twenty-seven cases are usually submitted every month except for August. Cases in the Court’s higher priority categories (1 being the highest) are submitted at a faster rate than cases in the lower priorities. The Court’s priority categories are determined by constitutional, statutory, and policy reasons. By looking at the ready list, you can sometimes tell how close your case is to being submitted for decision.
