Chief Judge Jennifer L. Attrep

Chief ​Judge Attrep hires law clerks to work for a two-year term. Generally, the term begins on the first Tuesday following Labor Day each year. If interested, please submit a letter of interest, resume, law school transcript, and at least two letters of recommendation.

Judge J. Miles Hanisee

Judge Hanisee is not accepting applications at this time.

Judge Kristina Bogardus

Judge Bogardus is currently accepting applications for a clerkship beginning in 2025. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume, law school transcript, a writing sample, and two letters of recommendation.
Judge Bogardus accepts law student externs on an ongoing basis. The externship is an unpaid position, however, normally a law student will receive school credit. If interested, please submit a letter of interest to her office.
 

Judge Jacqueline R. Medina

Judge Medina has filled her clerkship positions through the end of the 2024 term and will have a position available beginning in September 2025.  Applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume, law school transcript, at least two letters of recommendation, and writing sample.
Judge Medina accepts law student externs on an ongoing basis. The externship is an unpaid position, however, normally a law student will receive credit.  If interested, please submit a letter of interest to her chambers.
 

Judge Megan P. Duffy

Judge Duffy has filled her clerkship positions through the end of the 2024 term but will have an opening beginning in September 2025. If interested, please submit a letter of interest, resume, law school transcript, writing sample, and at least two references or letters of recommendation by mail (or hand delivery) to the address above. Judge Duffy is happy to receive applications for law student externs on an ongoing basis. The externship is an unpaid position but may qualify for law school credit. If interested, please submit a resume, letter of interest, unofficial transcript, and writing sample to her attention at the Albuquerque Court of Appeals office at 2211 Tucker Ave. NE.

 

Judge Zachary A. Ives

Judge Ives is not accepting applications at this time. Judge Ives will be glad to consider applications from law students for externships—unpaid positions that may qualify for law school credit. Applicants should send a letter of interest, an unofficial transcript, and a writing sample to the Court of Appeals in Albuquerque.

Judge Shammara H. Henderson

Judge Shammara H. Henderson has filled her clerkship positions through the end of the 2024 term but will have an opening beginning in September 2025. Applications are due by August 1, 2024. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume, law school transcript (to include first and second year grades), at least two letters of recommendation, and a writing sample to her attention at the Albuquerque Court of Appeals office at 2211 Tucker Ave. NE. Interviews will be scheduled for early August. Judge Henderson also accepts applications for externs on a rolling basis.  

Judge Jane B. Yohalem

Judge Yohalem has hired law clerks for September 2024. She is accepting applications for September 2025. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, writing sample, law school transcript, and at least two letters of recommendation to the Court of Appeals Santa Fe office at P.O. Box 2008, Santa Fe, NM 87504 or email to judgejaneyohalem@gmail.com

Judge Gerald E. Baca

Judge Baca is not accepting law clerk applications at this time.

Judge Baca accepts law student externs on an ongoing basis. The externship is an unpaid position, however, law students can normally receive school credit. If interested, please submit a letter of interest to his chambers mailing address in Santa Fe.

Judge Katherine A. Wray

Judge Wray is accepting applications for two one-year clerkship positions that will begin in September 2025. Applications are due August 1, 2024. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume, law school transcript, a writing sample, and two letters of recommendation to Judge Wray’s attention at 2211 Tucker Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. Judge Wray will interview for the positions in August 2024.
