Clerkship Opportunities


Chief Judge Linda M. Vanzi

Judge Vanzi will next accept applications for a clerkship beginning September 2018, for a two-year term. If interested, please submit a letter of interest, resume, law school transcript, at least two letters of recommendation, and writing sample by August 31, 2017.

Judge James J. Wechsler

Judge Wechsler is not accepting applications for a law clerk at this time.

Judge Jonathan B. Sutin

At this time, Judge Sutin is not accepting applications for a clerkship. When a position becomes available, persons applying for a clerkship in Judge Sutin's chambers should submit a letter of interest, a resume, a law school transcript, an undergraduate transcript, and three letters of recommendation.

Judge Michael E. Vigil

Judge Vigil hires law clerks to work for a one-year term. Generally, the term begins on the first Tuesday following Labor Day each year. Applications that are submitted more than one year in advance of the term applied for will not be considered. The only specific criteria which must be satisfied to be employed as a law clerk in Judge Vigil's chambers is a demonstrated willingness to work hard.

Judge Timothy L. Garcia

Judge Tim L. Garcia's law clerk position has been filled until 2018 and new applications will not be accepted until that time.

Judge M. Monica Zamora

At this time, Judge Zamora is not accepting applications for a clerkship. When a position becomes available, Judge Zamora requires a letter of interest, a resume, a law school transcript, a writing sample, and three letters of recommendation.

Judge J. Miles Hanisee

Judge Hanisee will next accept applications for a clerkship beginning September 2017. If interested, please submit a letter of interest, resume, law school transcript, at least two letters of recommendation, and writing sample by August 31, 2016.

Judge Julie J. Vargas

At this time, Judge Vargas is not accepting applications for a clerkship. When a position becomes available, Judge Vargas requires a letter of interest, a resume, a law school transcript, a writing sample, and three letters of recommendation.

Judge Stephen G. French

Judge French is not currently accepting applications.
