We have had reports of cyber criminals imitating court telephone numbers (“spoofing”) and demanding that citizens pay money for fines or fees in cases involving relatives. These calls are not valid. New Mexico Courts will never call citizens to ask for payments of any kind.

Michelle received an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of New Mexico and graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2005. Following graduation, Michelle was an associate attorney with Hinkle, Hensley, Shanor & Martin, L.L.P., practicing in the areas of employment and labor law, civil rights, general tort liability, class actions, and oil and gas. She joined DACA in 2007.
